As one who works in the media, voiceover, and podcast space as well as corporate America, you come to realize that all work is not rewarding.
I think that this can become a problem with those of us who get up and out to work every day. In my opinion, we don’t take care of ourselves, so we go lacking mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We fail sometimes finding away to infuse some of the things we like to do in our day to day lives.
We tend to make life and work business as usual. I find this to be a mental train wreck waiting to happen. We all have to find an outlet whether within the infrastructure of our day to day or on the side.
Please give yourself permission to breathe and prioritize you.
Create something just for you that you like to do. Though I may work in corporate America, I have also created something that I like to do outside of that. Don’t get me wrong, I like my job, but my heart is in my creation.
So what am I saying? I am saying, “Take time to research you and what positive things you can implement in your life to take the edge off.” What are you passionate about? What brings you joy? What contributions can you add to the world that will bring you a feeling of enrichment and accomplishment?
Maybe for you, it is writing a blog, creating a podcast, writing a book, or building a YouTube page. But whatever that thing is for you, find a place for it in your life because it is also a part of who you are.
What does that look like for me? Well, for me, that looks like voiceover and podcasting. Outside of God, family, and work, I have a love for media. I didn’t have a platform, so I made one for myself.
I have a storytelling podcasting centered around the Zombie Apocalypse called Canyon Creek Audiodrama podcast. 😆 Also, I have created a podcast called Making An Impact Christian Podcast Show.

So, why is this a thing? This is a thing because I realized that finding a place to express my creativity can be rewarding and cathartic. Creating something positive can not only be a blessing to me but to others.
I find that some of the most rewarding work is not that which you are paid for but that which you have struggle to birth out and give to others.
