Does this new social justice movement usher in a new normal?  Does it usher in an equal playing ground for Black women in this country?

Black women have always been the bedrock of the African American community as well as the Democratic party.

When Black fathers were absent it has always been black mothers there to be the glue to keep it all together. It is about time that we see what has always been apparent to those in our community that Black women deserve to be taking seriously and treated with dignity and respect.

It is past time that women of color get a sit at the table. There are so many remarkable women…especially women of color and it is about time that they get the respect they deserve.

Women in general have been marginalized in this country. But black women all the more have been marginalized and underserved.

We will see what history will report after this journey.
